No tea and coffee in room

Picked this hotel as it's close to the train station so not far to walk. The room is not large but big enough for a night. Shower and separate toilet. Double bed , TV, opening window which I have opened as the room is warm. Small sink in the room and everything is very clean, toiletry are supplied. The staff are helpful and friendly. The only negative is no tea and coffee in the room, but hay it's only for the 1 night

Cleanliness of room and hotel staff were good. No complaints there. But, having been placed on the 4th floor with no air conditioning in the rooms (only ‘air control’, which only blows hot air if the external temp is below 20), meant that our room was a scorching 24.5 degrees the entire night. That figure was on the thermostat. We tried to open the window, but obviously would only open a jar. There was no way to cool the room. If you don’t have air conditioning, the hotel needs to supply the top floor with fans - the heat was unbearable - neither of us slept much. We checked in late at night so there wasn’t much we could do. Sadly, we won’t be back again and will pay the extra 15 odd to go to another hotel where there is aircon.

The entire place had an unpleasant smell of waste, even in our room. The bunk bed didn’t feel secure enough for my son, which made us uneasy. We went to breakfast at 8am, only to find that most of the items were already gone or empty. When I mentioned this to the receptionist, he responded with a grunt and complained about how much food had already been eaten. He reluctantly refilled just a few baskets. Meanwhile, another staff member was openly grumbling to the receptionist about having to clean tables. We waited for a while, hoping more food would be replenished, but eventually gave up as both staff disappeared into the kitchen, continuing to moan loudly. It was clear they didn’t care—or didn’t realise—that guests could hear everything. Really unprofessional service, and I won’t be recommending this place.
